Assessment Of Conformity & Certification

The fundamental of conformity with CE requirements is that the equipment is safe, but of nearly equal importance is ensuring that the correct documentation is provided. CE requirements include certain mandatory contents of user instructions and marking as well as actual physical safety measures. CCQS can check that the design and performance of your equipment meets EU requirements. Some aspects can be checked by examination or analysis, others require testing, either in site or in a laboratory. We also check that the information provided to users as instructions manuals and labels on the equipment is suitable and the contents of your Technical File are correct CCQS can issue certificates of conformity if required.

CCQS can provide certificates of conformity with the requirements of EU CE marking Directives.

It may seem obvious, but a certificate should only be issued for equipment which actually meets the certification requirements. What is important is not the certificate itself, but the certification process which checks the equipment for conformity.

The value of a certificate is based on the credibility of the organisation that issues it. A certificate from an organisation with no reputation and no accreditation is just a piece of paper. CCQS offers a product certification programme that is accredited to ISO 17065:2012. This is your guarantees of knowledge and experience.

As an accredited Notified Body for Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425,  CCQS provides mandatory EU Type Certificates (this has changed from EC Type Certificates) for Cat II & III products within its accredited scopes. It can also provide voluntary certificates for Cat I equipment.

As an accredited Notified Body for Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, CCQS provides mandatory EC Type examination certificates for the more dangerous Annex IV products within its accredited scopes. It can also provide voluntary certificates for equipment outside Annex IV.
